Dramatic stay

The hotel is very dramatic up in the fort. The dinner up on the roof was amazing and the breakfast we found the western options very mixed, but the Indian options usually really good. The staff were great, some had better English than others, but overall they all really wanted to help and provide a good service (however, see point below). It feels very relaxing as the hotel doesn't feel too busy.

The hotel is over an hour outside of Jaipur so take this into account when booking. Some parts of it are also quite tired and probably need a bit of a referb. Our room was lovely but the pool area was not up to 5* standards. We also found it quite stressful being given the option to tip after every interaction - e.g. after ordering any drink, having any meal, massage, or anything else, when you get the bill to sign to your room, there is an option to add a tip. This creates very small stresses on the guests as the staff will check to see how much you have tipped (naturally, as anyone would!) and they could get quite disheartened if they didnt think you tipped a lot. I have seen it work a lot better at other hotels where they say that if you would like to tip, then to do it all at the end on check out.

Incredible building, beautiful but exceptionally comfortable. All staff were faultless. Special mention for the head of food and beverages Aditya who ensured allergies in our party were addressed - the food was superb.

Exceptional hotel in a stunning location.

Exceptional hotel bursting with history. Beautiful and simply renovated. From the moment we arrived we were treated with warmth and professionalism. We enjoyed a fabulous cooking masterclass; archery; swimming in the pool; high tea; delicious roof top dinner; and even a hit of cricket with the staff. The room was very spacious and comfortable and it was fascinating watching the villagers below from our window. A real highlight of our journey through Rajasthan.

Overall experience was fantastic, loved how Sakshi was at hand to interact and make our stay very comfortable along the way. Karan at the Archary was super, the pool was fantastic, the hi tea was brilliant and the guys at the breakfast were outstanding as was the breakfast with loads of options. The Spa facilities were outstanding with brilliant, qualified and considerate therapists.

The Buffet Dinner on the rooftop was mind-blowing Amazing! A must-have when visiting. Overall a beautiful property with amazing views. The staff was nice and helpful. The spa was also amazing.

Breakfast was average. the roads to the property are also not good, although they had boards at every turn for a better approach.

Idyllic retreat, unique location. It’s a must.

Stunning and unique location Pool was fabulous

The cheapest wine was an average 2021 Malbec for which they charged 100 euros. Even allowing for taxes etc, that is extortionate.

A lovely, peaceful getaway.

I just love the location and what they’ve done with the property. The service was excellent with so much warmth and kindness. The food was amazing too. Try the Surajmukhi kebabs! The spa was absolutely fantastic.

Just a couple of small things like the maintenance of the showers that could have been better. But they’ve taken my feedback on board and I’m sure they’ll fix it soon.

We had an amazing and unforgettable time at the Alila Fort. The property is beautiful and you can fall in love with its romantic ambience and architecture. I have visited many heritage properties around the world but this one truly stands out. The staff organized a special event for us and was helpful throughout our time. The food was out of this world and the chefs took real care in serving the guests. We also recommend to take the spa experience when you are here. Amazing for a romantic getaway with your loved one.

The location is close to Jaipur but the best way to reach here is only by your own car or a taxi.
